Dear Julian, I hope this message finds you safe and well.
Firstly I wanted to thank you for bring your work into the world. It guides me and challenges me as I explore learning and knowledge flows for systems change.
Permission and Consequences: When are we/I breaking the rules? Let me explain.
Through a series of unintended outcomes I have coined a term and adapted a definition to advance addressing the SDG's and activating place-based Doughnut Economics. The term REGEN SPIRIT, that is Quiet-Everyday Leadership, the first three steps of Regenerative Leadership: Our Thoughts, Our Actions, Our Language to improve, regenerate and then sustain sources of wellbeing and vitality.
Obviously this term and definition is heavily influenced by your work on Quiet Leadership and combines the work of Everyday Leadership (A. Buchanan - Benefit Mindset) who has given permission to explore, adapt and propagate his term and research as need to advance our work, with appropriate recognition or referencing when needed.
Activate place-based Doughnut Economics' principles at multiple levels simultaneously with Quiet-Everyday Leadership.
I have used the following to reference your work and Benefit Mindset's work and I am the author of Beneficial-Actualisation.
" NOTE:
*Quiet-Everyday Leadership is a combined adaption of: Benefit Mindset's Everyday Leadership - to promote wellbeing on both an individual and a collective level; Julian Stodd’s research and book that explores the first three steps of leadership, Quiet Leadership - leadership in the smallest of things: our mindset, our words and our actions, in every single day; and Beneficial-Actualisation that explores improving, regenerating and then sustaining the source of personal, societal and ecological wellbeing and vitality."
This REGEN SPIRIT work has emerged quickly and it was my intention to seek permission earlier but as it is, I was tardy in my permission seeking. I hope you understand and look upon my work favorably.
Are you happy for me to reference your work in this way? Otherwise, I am happy to take your direction what ever it may be and except the consequences?
Thank you in advance for giving this matter you attention.
Yours faithfully,
David L Wright - In service of : wellbeing and vitality for all
